Ethics Charter

A reference rooted in our values

Know-how is the key to interaction when two or more people encounter each other at work. And when business relations go international, then management steps in to provide support with global priorities. This is where their strong experience serves the Hager Group best to deal with its growing responsibility as a company towards society, offering a voluntary contribution to sustainable development. By doing this, we combine values that have evolved over decades within the Hager Group together with globally valid policies for fair cooperation.

UN, ILO, OECD and more

The Hager Group has taken its bearings from the 30 Articles of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the guiding principles for multinational corporations of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) . At the same time we make sure that our suppliers and business associates adhere to standards relating to mandatory human rights and labour regulations. By following these directives, we strive to pursue a fair environment of competition with high international diversity.

Hager Group signs Global Compact

In April 2007 the Hager Group also joined the Global Compact, a voluntary economic initiative which over 5,000 companies belong to. The goal of this covenant is to promote social commitment at corporate level and to make globalisation more caring, more ecological and sustainable. 10 principles are embedded in the following areas:
  • human rights
  • work standards
  • conservation of the environment
  • combating corruption

The Progress Report

Bearing in mind the maxim ‘trust, but verify’, the Global Compact's most important instrument is their annual 'Communications on Progress' report in which its members document which principles they have implemented and to which extent. In 2010 the Hager Group Communications on Progress report was published for the first time. Why not take a look at it?
