New Easy to Install Decorative Wiring Accessory Range from Hager
Hager claims that its new sollysta decorative wiring accessories range is easier to fit and better protected against damage than competitive products.

Installation features include a shallow back projection, the UK’s first neutral loop terminal in wall switches, cable lead ins, captive terminal screws, backed off terminal screws, wire end stops, in line terminals and a three pin shutter mechanism on the sockets for safety.

With aesthetics important, the wiring accessories are packed to avoid damage and unsightly scratches during transit and installation. Each accessory is in its own recyclable fold flat cardboard carton and has a removable protective film cover that you can peel off after finishing the installation. They also have a protective light lacquer coating for ongoing protection against scratches.

Says Hager product manager Jane Yorke: “Decorative wiring accessories are obviously chosen for their aesthetic appeal. It is therefore important to protect the accessories from any damage before and during installation.

“We have also found that many decorative ranges are not the easiest to install and don’t have all of the features found in white moulded wiring accessories. Our new range of sollysta accessories has been designed with both the installer and the end user in mind.”

The sollysta decorative wiring accessory range is available in polished steel, brushed steel, polished brass and black nickel with insert options of white or black. The rockers match the finish of the front plate to further enhance the aesthetics.

All four finishes are available as a complete suite of wiring accessories that includes Euro front plates and modules and grid systems with between 1 to 12 gang outlets.

Like the white moulded range Hager claims that the decorative grid range is the easiest on the market to install. The modules have the shallowest projection currently available, at just 10mm from the faceplate, to maximise cabling space in the back box.

For installation the grid modules clip in from the front of the metal frame rather than the back. This makes them easier to fit and replace and also ensures that you cannot push them into the back box.
