Standard Occupancy Sensors

The EEK513W uses passive infra-red technology to detect the movement of infra-red emissions given off by somebody moving within the detection area of a sensor.

This movement will cause the activation of the sensor. This activation can be overridden when there is sufficient levels of ambient light available via use of a photocell.

Commissioning of the EEK513W is achieved with the EEK001 Installer remote control, or alternatively limited control can be achieved by using the potentiometers positioned behind the protective shutter on the front of the unit to set the time out period and the lux level.
Positioning Considerations
The EEK range of sensors should be mounted in the centre of the group of luminaires to be controlled and the optimum all round coverage is achieved with the unit mounted at a height of 2.5m. The coverage for these sensors at this height is approximately 5m diameter for small movement such as working at a desk, and 7m for larger movements such as walking.
Programming Tool
The EEK001 programming tool allows the setting of time out period.
Lux level
Lux level adjustment (+ or - 100 lux steps)
Presence / Absence
Power up On / Off
Passive photocell / Active photocell
Memory settings (2)
Walk test mode
Remote Control
Also available is the EEK002 remote control tool which allows lighting to be overridden On or Off with standard luminaires.

Digital Occupancy Sensors

The EEK523W uses passive infra-red technology to detect the movement of infra-red emissions given off by somebody moving within the detection area of a sensor. This movement will cause the activation of the sensor.

The EEK523W will control up to 24 digital ballasts to maintain the required light level by adding artificial light to the natural light in the available area. The unit will automatically detect if the digital load is DSI or DALI and control accordingly.

Commissioning of the EEK523W is achieved with the EEK001 Installer remote control, or alternatively limited control can be achieved by using the potentiometers positioned behind the protective shutter on the front of the unit to set the time out period and the lux level.

Remote Control
Also available is the EEK002 remote control tool which allows lighting to be overridden On or Off with a short press of the + or - button and dimmed up or down with a longer push. On the remote control tool there are 4 scene set buttons allowing the customer to store up to 4 preset lighting levels and easily over write any of these sittings as required.
